Who can Enter the Lay’s Contest

The Lay’s – Do Us a Flavor Contest is open only to legal residents of any of the fifty (50) United States, the District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico who are eighteen (18) years of age or older. Nineteen [19] or older if a resident of Alabama and Nebraska.

How to Enter the Contest

To enter the Contest, go to dousaflavor.com. If you wish to submit a flavor, follow the on-screen instructions to properly complete the registration form, and submit your entry for the Contest.

Creative Assignment

The creative assignment for the Contest is as follows.

Submit your idea for a future flavor of Lay’s Potato Chips. During the entry process, you will need to submit the following:

  • Describe the flavor name in your own words, explain the story behind why you chose it, and why you know it’s the best
  • Participant’s contact information, which may include first and last name, email address, birthdate, mailing address (no P.O. boxes), and state of residence

Entries limited to up to ten (10) different Submissions per person, per email, per day.

Contest Voting

The Finalist Flavors will be published on the Website in a gallery for viewing and voting.

To Vote, Participant will click a Vote icon and follow the prompted instructions to submit their Vote.

Each participant can cast one (1) vote per day, regardless of how many voting platforms are available.

Details of Prizes

Finalist Prizes

Two (2) Finalist Winners who are not selected as the Grand Prize Winner will each be eligible to receive a finalist prize consisting of:

  • $50,000 (awarded in the form of a check or wire transfer), payable to Finalist Winners

ARV of each Finalist Prize is $50,000. Total ARV of Finalist Prizes is $100,000.

Grand Prize

One (1) Grand Prize Winner will receive:

  • One Million Dollars ($1,000,000), awarded in the form of a check or wire transfer, payable to Grand Prize Winner

Total ARV of Grand Prize: $1,000,000.

The maximum total ARV of all prizes in contest is $1,100,000.
